Vision and a Prayer

Our vision is something many of us take for granted. Until my mom developed glaucoma, she hadn't recognized the importance of routine eye exams. Through neglect, her vision gradually deteriorated. Suddenly, the interior of my mom's eyes developed a blood-red tinge. By the time she had developed severe pain over her eyes, she was in the advanced stages of glaucoma. Upon seeing her ophthalmologist, Mom learned that the pressure in her eyes might cause her to lose her eyesight. It was devastating news. Through faith and prayers, and the surgical skills of a wonderful eye specialist, my mom's eyesight was saved. I'm sharing my mom's story in hopes it will motivate you to see your eye doctor for routine eye exams. Doing so could prevent complications and possibly save your vision.
